Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the approaches of business managers about supply chain strategies. For this purpose, research population has been determined the first thousand exporter firms determined by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). It was aimed to get data from all the firms, but 268 businesses responded to the survey. Data were collected by interviews with middle and senior managers with questionnaire technique. In this quantitative study, data was analyzed by SPSS package program. Supply chain strategies are dealt with in three different approaches. These are lean, agile and hybrid supply chain strategies. As a result of the analysis, it is seen that the first thousand exporters adopt the highest average lean and then agile and then the hybrid supply chain strategy. In addition, the agile supply chain strategy, at the higher level the textile sector then the metal sector, while the hybrid supply chain strategy has been observed in macro enterprises at a higher level than medium and large enterprises.
