Abstract

Küresel pazarlarda artan rekabetin etkisiyle özellikle son birkaç yılda rekabet istihbaratına olan ilgi önemli ölçüde artmıştır. Firmalar bulundukları konumu korumak ve pazar paylarını arttırmak için istihbaratı iş süreçlerine dâhil etmek zorunda kalmıştır. Bununla birlikte ekonomik durgunluk ve gerileme, şartları daha zorlu hale getirerek firmaları finansal açıdan olumsuz etkilemekte ve engelleri aşabilmeleri için onları çözüm arayışına itmektedir. Rekabet istihbaratı böyle bir ortamda firmalar için tercihten öte mecburiyet haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı ilk etapta firmalarda rekabet istihbaratı farkındalığını, uygulama seviyesini ve kapsamını belirlemektir. Daha sonra firmaların rekabet istihbaratı uygulamalarında karşılaştıkları zorlukları tespit etmektir. Son olarak toplanan verilerden yola çıkarak küresel rekabet ortamında firmalara rekabet avantajı kazandırmak amacıyla karar verme süreçlerini kolaylaştıracak bir rekabet istihbaratı sistemi kurulacaktır. Çalışmanın uygulama aşamasında birinci elden verilerin toplanmasında anket yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Örneklem olarak Ostim İş ve İnşaat Makineleri endüstriyel kümesi seçilmiş olup küme üyesi olan 54 ihracatçı firmaya anket uygulanmıştır. Belirlenen hipotezler ile firmaların sahip olduğu rekabet istihbaratı sistemine etki eden unsurlar tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Abstract

Due to the increasing competition in global markets, interest in competitive intelligence has increased significantly in the last few years. Firms have had to incorporate intelligence into their business processes to maintain their positions and increase their market share. Alongside this, economic stagnation and recession have influence on the firms by making conditions more challenging in terms of finance, which pushes them to seek solutions in order to overcome these obstacles. In such an environment, competitive intelligence has become a necessity for firms. The aim of this study is to determine the level of competitive intelligence awareness at the firms, its level of implementation and its scope at the first stage. Then, to identify the challenges faced by firms in the application of the competitive intelligence. Finally, based on the data gathered, a competitive intelligence system will be established to facilitate decision-making processes in order to give firms a competitive advantage in a global competitive environment. Survey method was used to collect the first hand data during the application phase of the study. The industrial set of Ostim Work and Construction Machinery was chosen as the sample; and a survey was applied to 54 firms that are a member of this set. With the hypotheses identified, the factors affecting the competitive intelligence system of the firms were tried to be determined.
