Abstract

Abstract

Lifestyle tourism entrepreneurs, in contrast to other sectors, put more emphasis on lifestyle rather than acting with economic motives. Generally, while the purpose of launching a business is to make economic profit; this is different in life style entrepreneurship. Life-style entrepreneurs start from a hobby. While keeping personal interests at the forefront, the desire to make a profit is only enough to make a living. Therefore, growing too much is not among their purposes but they prefer to take the responsibility of a small number of staff. Family and social relations are important for these entrepreneurs. In addition, their previous work experience is effective in setting up their own business. A more comfortable working environment and an ideal living standard are important in choosing lifestyle entrepreneurship. The importance of life style in tourism entrepreneurship is obvious. Tourism provides a happy working environment and a high level of human interaction for entrepreneurs. They also choose the location they have visited before and wanted to settle in. In this respect, there is a close relationship between tourism and lifestyle. In this study, a conceptual framework is tried to be drawn by focusing on life style entrepreneurship and its place in tourism, which hardly exists in the Turkish literature.
